KPR provides Leadership, Management, and Technical training courses for Upstream E&P professionals.

Courses are aimed at intermediate to advanced levels with an emphasis on the Exploration business. All courses will be presented at the clients' location. Versions of the courses can be designed for live online delivery.

The following courses are available and can be tailored to the clients' needs.

1) Exploration Business Development Strategy
This is a 5-day in-person course aimed at Team Leaders, Managers, and advisors in Exploration, New Ventures and Business Development. This is also a course that can also be run for cross-functional upstream VP level groups.

2) Exploration Management & Leadership Best Practice
This is a 2-day course aimed at Team Leaders, Managers, and Advisors in Exploration, New Ventures and Business Development.

3) Exploration Strategy & Portfolio Management
This 2-day course is mainly aimed at Team Leaders, Managers, and Advisors in Exploration, New Ventures and Business Development. It is also aimed at Leaders and managers in corporate upstream Portfolio management and Strategy teams.

4) Deepwater Exploration Management
This 1- or 2-day course is suitable for Team Leaders, Managers, and advisors in Exploration, New Ventures and Business Development. it is aimed at companies vying for new deepwater business and for companies developing new leaders in deepwater.

1 | Exploration Business Development Strategy
Course Objectives
This course will give a comprehensive understanding of how to design and implement a sustainable strategy for exploration, balancing long-term viability with environmental and cultural considerations. It will equip participants with methods to enhance value delivery from the exploration portfolio and reduce costs.

Portfolio analysis and modelling are key elements of the course giving enhanced skill and understanding of fundamental exploration risks, asset mixes, resource efficiency, and approaches for capturing new business opportunities.
​
Participants will develop further understanding of Capability and Competence management and the importance of getting the right Operating models and partnerships. The course also focuses on the understanding of management and leadership qualities required to implement a successful business development strategy.
It is expected that the course will provide a first steppingstone to the development of a new Business Development Strategy in the client company.
