ABOUT KEARNEY POINT RESOURCES

Kearney Point Resources is a new UK consulting company founded In November 2021. We aim to provide the services you need using extensive knowledge and experience from the upstream energy sector. We are also passionate Earth scientists and love to keep our connection to rocks as much as possible.

Kearney Point is on the east coast of the Ards Peninsula in Northern Ireland and has a special connection for me. It was here where I first really got my eye into structural geology as a teenager. "Getting your eye in" is the beautiful event when an apparent jumble of rocks reveals its geological glory and then starts a lifetime addiction to rocks. The company name "Kearney Point Resources" pays homage to that memorable event in my own geological learning. So, my advice to you is - go and see some rocks near you today!

About Gary Ingram

I worked in global upstream oil and gas exploration and development for the companies Shell and OMV over a period of 28 years, located in Romania, Austria, the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia. I have been in geoscience technical roles and also in senior upstream management roles, including 4 years as OMV Vice President for global exploration and appraisal, based in Vienna. I have also recently completed an assignment during 2023 and 2024 with Cairn Oil & Gas in India as President of Exploration. During that time I developed a 5-year exploration strategy plan, put in place modern portfolio management practice, and revived focus on deepwater exploration in the the Krishna-Godavari Basin. I draw on these experiences to give sensible and practical advice to clients.

In 2021 I decided to found a company so that I could be an independent consultant in order to utilise fully my core skills and experience to assist energy companies. Personally I have a strong desire to take practical action to assist companies navigating the energy transition.
